How it All Began

Tango Foxtrot Apparel was founded when Active Duty Air Force member Trisha Feeney saw the need to innovate the OCP ball caps to suit the needs of female military members that wear buns or ponytails in uniform. Many opted not to wear the cap for the sole purpose of the velcro straps constantly pulling out their hair. 
Trisha decided to take matters into her own hands by removing the velcro straps and putting in an elastic strap instead when she too had tired of the velcro pulling out hair and having to constantly adjust the straps. She started having other local members comment on the ingenuity of the elastic strap, and many asking where she bought it from.
She posted in a military women's Facebook group about her adjustment to the cap, where she saw that many others struggled with the same issue. Knowing how long it takes to get regulations changed or adjusted, she decided to launch her own small business and sell adjustable elastic strap OCP caps to her fellow service members, and the rest is history.
